Connect your AI app to kwizroom

kwizroom works with AI apps that support remote MCP servers. Once connected, your AI app can search your question bank, add questions to it, and draft quizzes in your account. You review everything before it goes in front of a room.

Before you start

What a connected app can and can’t do

A connected app can:

If you sign in as the Platform Admin, the app works on the central question bank instead: it can search it and add questions to it (marked Unverified), and it can’t create quizzes.

It can’t edit or delete anything, run or host a quiz, or see your password. You can disconnect an app at any time from the AI apps tab; its access stops straight away.

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it “kwizroom” and paste the connector URL.
  3. Click Connect. Claude opens kwizroom: sign in and click Approve.
  4. In a chat, turn on the kwizroom connector and ask Claude to describe your question bank.

Plans: custom connectors work on every Claude plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner first adds the connector in Organization settings → Connectors; each member then clicks Connect. The same connector works in Claude Desktop and on mobile.

ChatGPT (developer mode)

  1. Turn on developer mode in Settings → Apps → Advanced.
  2. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, click + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  3. Enter a name and the connector URL, choose OAuth, accept the warning, then Create.
  4. ChatGPT opens kwizroom: sign in and click Approve.

Plans: OpenAI documents developer mode for Pro, Business and Enterprise/Edu. On Business, a workspace admin must enable it. Availability on Plus isn’t confirmed.

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → MCP and add a new MCP server, or add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "kwizroom": { "url": "https://kwizroom.com/mcp" }
      }
    }
  2. The first time you use a kwizroom tool, Cursor opens your browser: sign in and click Approve.

Plans: Cursor doesn’t document any plan limits for MCP servers.

VS Code (GitHub Copilot agent mode)

  1. Use Install in VS Code on the AI apps tab, or run MCP: Add Server from the command palette, choose HTTP and paste the connector URL.
  2. Trust the server when VS Code asks.
  3. VS Code opens your browser: sign in and click Approve.
  4. Open Copilot Chat in agent mode and ask it to describe your question bank.

Plans: on Copilot Business and Enterprise the “MCP servers in Copilot” policy is off by default, and an organization admin must turn it on. Copilot Free, Pro and Pro+ aren’t affected.

Claude Code

  1. In a terminal, run:
    claude mcp add --transport http kwizroom https://kwizroom.com/mcp
  2. Start Claude Code and type /mcp, then choose kwizroom to sign in.
  3. Your browser opens kwizroom: sign in and click Approve.

Plans: works on any plan that includes Claude Code.

Another app?

Any app that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth sign-in should work: add the connector URL as a remote (HTTP) server and approve the request in your browser. Apps that only accept a fixed API key can’t connect yet.

Disconnecting

Open the AI apps tab and click Disconnect… next to the app. Its access stops immediately; reconnect any time by approving it again. When the Platform Admin resets your password, every app connected to your account is disconnected too.
